DESCRIPTION

The 1414SCG is a Type 12 mild steel junction box designed for use as instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, and terminal wiring enclosures in electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic control applications. The enclosure features a lift-off cover secured with captive plated steel screws threaded into sealed wells, and includes a removable 14 gauge inner panel. The body is formed from 16 gauge or 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, oil-resistant gaskets permanently secured, and welded brackets for mounting. It complies with UL 508 Type 12 and 13, CSA Type 12 and 13, NEMA Type 12 and 13, and IEC 60529 IP54 standards, providing protection from falling dirt, dust, oil, and water. The 1414SCG model offers external dimensions of 8.00" × 6.00" with a depth of 3.50", making it suitable for applications requiring robust, sealed electrical protection in industrial and commercial environments.
