DESCRIPTION

The 1414SCM8 is a Type 12 mild steel junction box designed for use as instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes, and terminal wiring enclosures. The enclosure features a lift-off cover secured with captive plated steel screws, oil resistant gaskets, and a removable 14 gauge inner panel. The body is formed from 16 gauge or 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and welded brackets for mounting, providing a degree of protection from falling dirt, dust, oil and water. It complies with UL 508 Type 12 and 13, CSA Type 12 and 13, NEMA Type 12 and 13, and IEC 60529 IP54 standards. This enclosure is ideal for applications requiring robust protection and reliable containment of electrical and control components in industrial and commercial environments.
