DESCRIPTION
The AKX-CGPT-02 is a right-angle press-in type cage designed for Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers, supporting high-speed optical communications in accordance with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) standard. The cage consists of an upper cage and lower cage assembly, factory-shipped after assembling and soldering the cage halves at 6 points to maintain structural strength. It features press-fit parts for PCB mounting, EMI clips for shielding, and a half-lock structure with the PCB that ensures workability and prevents transceiver pop-out. The connector body (AKX-20LFY) provides 0.8 mm pitch with 20 contacts, utilizing roll-surface contacts for high reliability and durability while achieving low insertion loss through impedance matching and low reflection attenuation. This cage is commonly used in communications equipment requiring high-speed differential transmission with robust mechanical and electrical performance.
