DESCRIPTION
The BP1502XI is a grid-tied solar inverter from KACO's blueplanet 02xi series designed to convert DC power from photovoltaic arrays into AC power for residential grid-connected systems. It features a DC operating range (MPP) of 125–400 V with a maximum DC input voltage of 550 V, nominal DC input current of 14.3 A, and maximum short-circuit current of 21.45 A. The inverter delivers a maximum continuous output power of 1500 W (CEC rated) at 240 V or 208 V AC with a CEC rated efficiency of 95.5% at 240 V and 95% at 208 V, operating at 60 Hz (59.3–60.5 Hz). It includes integrated ground fault detection/interrupter (GFDI), DC reverse polarity protection, field-selectable positive or negative ground option, and a backlit LCD display with night switch for convenient monitoring. The unit operates across an ambient temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C (-4 °F to +140 °F) with thermal protection, produces less than 35 dB of noise for silent operation, and is backed by a 10-year standard warranty with KACO's easySwap policy. Common applications include residential rooftop solar installations where space and weight are considerations, with the inverter's low start-up voltage and wide MPPT range enabling maximum energy harvest across varying module types and temperature conditions.
