DESCRIPTION
CRD16CM0SB is a 16-position hexadecimal coded rotary switch from the CRD Series, designed for address switching and data selection applications in computer peripherals and instrumentation. The switch features a 10mm DIP package with surface mount gull-wing termination (S), a flush screwdriver-slot actuator (M0), and hexadecimal complement coding (C) with white actuator color. It delivers reliable performance with an electrical life of 20,000 steps minimum at 5V DC 10mA, mechanical life of 30,000 steps minimum, and contact resistance of 100 milliohms maximum. The switch operates over a temperature range of -20°C to 85°C, is process sealed to withstand soldering and cleaning, and features beryllium copper contacts with gold over nickel plating for low-level/dry circuit applications rated at 0.4V maximum at 20V AC or DC. Its crisp positive detent ensures accurate actuation, making it ideal for address switching, data storage devices, and computer peripheral applications requiring reliable coded position selection.
