DESCRIPTION

The 216002 is a fast-acting 5 x 20 mm fuse available in cartridge or axial lead form, designed to IEC 60127-2 Sheet 1 standards for global use. It is rated from 0.050 to 10 amperes at 250 VAC with an interrupting rating of 1500 A at 250 VAC (0.7–0.8 power factor) and features high breaking capacity. The fuse exhibits fast response times across multiple current levels: at 275% of rated current, opening times range from 0.01 to 0.04 seconds minimum and 2 to 20 seconds maximum depending on ampere rating; at 400% of rated current, opening times are 0.003 to 0.01 seconds minimum and 0.3 to 1.0 seconds maximum. The fuse body is constructed from ceramic with nickel-plated brass caps and tin-plated copper leads, and it operates reliably across -55 °C to +125 °C with thermal shock, vibration, humidity, and salt spray resistance per MIL-STD-202F standards. These fuses are widely used in industrial control circuits, power distribution systems, and electronic equipment protection where fast fault response and precise current ratings are critical.
