DESCRIPTION

The 297003 is a fast-acting MINI blade terminal fuse designed for automotive circuit protection in low-voltage DC systems. It is rated for 3A at 32VDC with a violet body color code and features a nylon body with silver-plated terminations, meeting SAE J2077 design standards. The fuse has a nominal cold resistance of 0.034 Ohms and a minimum melting I²t of 9.4 A² seconds, with an interrupting rating of 1000A at 32VDC. Opening times follow fast-acting characteristics: 100 hours minimum at 110% of rating, 0.75–600 seconds at 135%, 0.15–5 seconds at 200%, 0.080–0.250 seconds at 350%, and 0.030–0.100 seconds at 600% of ampere rating. The compact MINI form factor allows more fuses to be installed in the same space compared to the larger ATO fuse, making it ideal for modern automobiles requiring individual circuit fusing for multiple electrical systems.
