DESCRIPTION

The N78018-2CW is a high-efficiency, non-isolated DC-DC switching regulator from the N78-2 series, designed to deliver a stable 1.8V output at up to 2000mA. It operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V and achieves an efficiency of 83% at minimum input voltage. As a pin-compatible replacement for LM78xx linear regulators, it offers superior efficiency, eliminating the need for a heatsink. The device functions across a -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range and includes protections for short circuit, overload, and over-temperature. Its compact, wire-cased form factor makes it ideal for point-of-load regulation, industrial controls, and various microcontroller applications.
