DESCRIPTION

The 2291000-R, also known as the SmartRAID 3154-8i, is a full-featured RAID adapter designed for enterprise storage applications requiring high data availability and performance. It is built with a SmartROC 3100 processor, connects via an 8-lane PCIe Gen3 host interface, and provides eight internal SAS/SATA ports through two SFF-8643 connectors. The adapter includes 4 GB of DDR4/2100 MHz cache memory, with protection provided by an embedded flash backup and a tethered ASCM-35F supercapacitor. Supporting a wide range of hardware RAID levels and maxCache 4.0 for SSD caching, this adapter is optimized for data center applications that benefit from caching, such as transactional and database workloads.
