DESCRIPTION

The ATXMEGA256A3U-AU is a high performance, low power 8/16bit AVR XMEGA A3U microcontroller in 64 pin TQFP package. This device achieves throughputs approaching 1MIPS per MHz by executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle. This allows system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed. The device has seven 16bit timer/counters, 16bit real time counter (RTC) with separate oscillator, two sixteen channel, 12bit ADC, one two channel, 12bit DAC, four analogue comparators and programmable watchdog timer with separate on-chip ultra low power oscillator.
