DESCRIPTION

The HV857MG-G is a high-voltage driver IC designed to power electroluminescent (EL) lamps of up to 5.0 square inches. It operates on a wide input supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.0V and provides a nominal regulated output voltage of ±95V, with a typical peak-to-peak output of 190V. Key features include patented audible noise reduction, lamp aging compensation, and a low shutdown current of 150nA. Housed in an 8-Lead MSOP package, the HV857MG-G is ideal for LCD backlighting in portable devices like mobile phones, PDAs, and GPS units.
