DESCRIPTION

The MCP1253-ADJI/MS is a low-noise, positive-regulated charge pump DC/DC converter designed for applications requiring high efficiency. It operates from a wide input voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V and provides an adjustable output from 1.5V to 5.5V, capable of delivering up to 120 mA of current. The device features a 1 MHz switching frequency, allowing the use of small ceramic capacitors, and automatically transitions between buck and boost operation. Integrated features include thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, and a low-power shutdown mode that reduces current to 0.1 µA. This converter is ideal for space-constrained, battery-powered applications like white LED backlighting, smart card readers, and local 3V-to-5V conversions.
