DESCRIPTION
The MCP14628-E/MF is a dual MOSFET gate driver designed to optimally drive two N-Channel MOSFETs in a non-isolated synchronous buck converter topology. It features a high peak output current of 2A (typical) for both high-side and low-side drives, with a low-side sink capability of 3.5A (typical). The driver includes adaptive cross-conduction protection, an internal bootstrap blocking device, and a tri-state PWM pin for power stage shutdown. This specific part comes in an 8-Lead 3x3mm DFN package and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Its features make it ideal for high-efficiency synchronous DC/DC buck converters, high-current low-voltage converters, and core voltage supplies for microprocessors.
