DESCRIPTION

The TAP800K1K0E is a high-power, heat sinkable planar resistor providing a resistance of 1 kΩ with a tolerance of ±10%. It is rated to dissipate 800 watts when mounted to a heat sink at an 85°C case temperature and can handle a short-time overload of 1,200W for 10 seconds. The component features a low inductance design (80nH) and is built on a high alumina ceramic base for excellent heat transfer, encapsulated in a special resin-filled epoxy casing. This robust construction makes it suitable for demanding applications including variable speed drives, power supplies, robotics, and motor control.
