DESCRIPTION

The MC74HC597ADR2G is an 8-bit, high-performance silicon-gate CMOS shift register designed for parallel-to-serial data conversion. It consists of an 8-bit input latch that feeds parallel data to an 8-bit shift register, which can also be loaded serially. This device features a wide operating voltage range of 2.0 V to 6.0 V and supports a maximum shift clock frequency of up to 50 MHz at a 6.0 V supply. Its outputs are capable of driving 10 LSTTL loads and can directly interface with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL logic. The wide operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C makes it suitable for use in various industrial and computing applications requiring input expansion or data serialization.
