DESCRIPTION

The NCV8406ASTT1G is a three-terminal, self-protected low-side smart discrete driver. It integrates protection features including overcurrent, overtemperature, ESD, and an integrated Drain-to-Gate clamp for overvoltage protection. This single N-channel device has a typical drain-to-source on-resistance (RDS(on)) of 210 mÎ© at a 5V gate-source voltage and a clamped drain-to-source voltage (VDSS) of 65V. The driver provides a typical current limit (ILIM) of 7.0 A and features thermal shutdown with automatic restart. Qualified to AEC-Q101 standards, it is suitable for harsh automotive and industrial environments where it can switch various resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads.
