DESCRIPTION
PM-Y45-P is a compact U-shaped micro photoelectric sensor featuring cable-type connection with NPN open-collector transistor output. The sensor incorporates dual outputs with Light-ON and Dark-ON operation modes, enabling flexible detection logic for various industrial applications. It delivers a fixed sensing range of 6 mm with a minimum sensing object size of 0.8 × 1.2 mm, hysteresis of 0.05 mm or less, and repeatability of 0.01 mm or less, ensuring precise and reliable detection. The sensor operates on 5 to 24 V DC supply with current consumption of 15 mA or less, provides 50 mA output capacity, and features response times of 20 µs under normal conditions or 80 µs under high-response mode with a maximum interpulse frequency of 3 kHz. Common applications include pallet positioning, starting point and overrun sensing on moving or rotating bodies, and precision object detection in manufacturing and automation systems.
