DESCRIPTION

The 2800983 is a surge protection device, consisting of a protective plug and base element, designed to safeguard four signal wires that share a common reference potential. It features an integrated multi-stage status indicator for system monitoring and uses a gas-filled surge arrester for indirect grounding. This DIN rail mountable module operates with a nominal voltage of 24 V DC, has a nominal discharge current of 10 kA, and supports a rated current of 700 mA. The two-piece design with an impedance-neutral plug allows for easy maintenance, making it ideal for protecting sensitive signal circuits in automation and control systems where reliability is critical.
