DESCRIPTION
The 153216-2020-RB is a 3M Thru-Board Socket from the 1532 Series, designed as a 2 mm x 2 mm surface mount connector with top and bottom side mateability. It features a glass-filled LCP insulator (UL 94V-0 rated), copper alloy contacts with nickel underplating (1.27–3.81 µm) and gold wiping area (0.76 µm), and matte tin solder tails (5.1 µm), making it reflow solder compatible. The connector supports a current rating of 1 A, insulation resistance greater than 1 × 108 O at 250 V, and withstanding voltage of 500 VDC at sea level, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to +105°C and process rating up to 260°C per J-STD-020C. Its low height design minimizes PCB stack height, end stackable configuration, and availability in tape and reel packaging with vacuum cap make it ideal for automated placement applications in high-density interconnect designs.
