DESCRIPTION

The 3448-3040 is a plastic strain relief specifically designed for 40-position 3M 3000 series wiremount sockets. This component provides mechanical support and protection for the cable at the termination point. Its primary function is to isolate the insulation-displacement contact (IDC) interface from mechanical stress, which enhances the long-term reliability of the connection. This strain relief is used with connectors that accept .050" pitch flat cable and creates a total assembled height of approximately 0.64 inches.
