DESCRIPTION

The 3448-7964 is an optional, standard-height strain relief for 3M's 79 Series wiremount sockets. This plastic component is designed to provide mechanical support and prevent damage to the cable termination point on a 64-position socket accepting .050″ pitch cable. It is made from gray, glass-filled polyester (PBT) with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating. The primary application is to enhance the durability and reliability of cable assemblies by protecting the wire-to-connector interface from mechanical stress and movement.
