The 8309-8003 is a 3M D Sub socket connector from the 8300 Series designed for reliable interconnection in electronic assemblies. It features a glass-filled polyester (PBT) insulation body with a steel shell and stainless steel strain relief, supporting wire accommodation of 26 and 28 AWG solid or stranded conductors. The connector offers a current rating of 1 A, insulation resistance greater than 1 × 10? O at 500 VDC, and withstanding voltage of 1000 V RMS at sea level, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. Copper alloy contacts are plated with 50 µ" minimum nickel underplating and 30 µ" gold wiping area, ensuring excellent electrical performance and durability. Available in open or closed end cover configurations with four mounting options (front/rear panel mount, rivet crimp, or threaded inserts), this connector is ideal for industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and data acquisition applications requiring robust, low-profile interconnection solutions.
