DESCRIPTION

The 00054007704812, also known as the TR-490, is a ratchet tool for crimping both insulated and non-insulated terminals and connectors. It accommodates a wire range of 22–10 AWG (0.35–6.0 mm²) and features color-coded dies for insulated terminals: red for 22–18 AWG, blue for 16–14 AWG, and yellow for 12–10 AWG. The tool is constructed from hardened steel with a corrosion-resistant finish and has red plastic grips. Its positive closure ratchet mechanism requires full handle closure to ensure a proper crimp, and a release lever allows for the removal of misplaced terminals. This tool is field re-calibratable, making it a reliable choice for creating UL Listed connections with 3M terminals.
