DESCRIPTION

The 3M™ PTFE Film Tape 5490 is an extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film tape with a high-performance silicone adhesive. This gray tape has a total thickness of 3.7 mil, with a 2 mil backing, and exhibits a tensile strength of 22 lbs/in and an adhesion to steel of 27 oz/in. It is designed to resist curling during unwind and provides an exceptionally slick, non-stick surface. Its chemical resistance makes it ideal for sealing and masking applications where durability and a clean release are required.
