DESCRIPTION

1771-BK005 is a two-conductor shielded twisted pair cable designed for low-voltage signal transmission and control applications. The cable features 23 AWG conductors (60/40 tinned copper) with 0.020" polyethylene insulation, twisted at 12.0 twists per foot minimum, and wrapped with paper tape at 25% overlap. A tinned copper braid shield provides 95% minimum coverage, with a 0.040" PVC jacket rated for 600V RMS operation. The cable exhibits a characteristic impedance of 86O, capacitance of 17.9 pF/ft, and conductor DC resistance of 18.7O/1000ft at 20°C, making it suitable for instrumentation, audio, and industrial control systems requiring reliable shielded signal transmission in environments ranging from -20°C to +60°C.
