DESCRIPTION

The 2214C-SL005 is a four-pair shielded twisted-pair communication cable designed for low-voltage signal transmission and control applications. It features 22 AWG tinned copper conductors (7/30 stranding) with 0.010" nominal PVC insulation, organized into four twisted pairs with 8.0 twists per foot minimum, and cabled together at 4.0 twists per foot. The cable incorporates an aluminum/mylar tape shield with 25% overlap and a 22 AWG tinned copper drain wire, all enclosed in a 0.032" nominal PVC jacket in slate color. Electrical characteristics include a 150V RMS voltage rating, 59O characteristic impedance, 38 pF/ft mutual capacitance, and 16.5O/1000ft conductor DC resistance at 20°C. The cable operates reliably over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with a maximum bend radius of 10× cable diameter and pull tension of 49 lbs, making it suitable for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and data communication networks where EMI shielding and signal integrity are required.
