DESCRIPTION

2243C-SLATE-100 is a three-pair shielded twisted-pair communication cable designed for low-voltage signal transmission and control applications. The cable features 18 AWG tinned copper conductors (16/30 stranding) with 0.016" PVC insulation, organized into three pairs color-coded as black-red, black-white, and black-green, twisted at 5.3 twists per foot minimum. The three pairs are cabled together at 3.0 twists per foot minimum and protected by an aluminum/mylar tape shield with 25% overlap and a 20 AWG tinned copper drain wire, all enclosed in a 0.037" PVC jacket in slate color. Electrical specifications include a 300V RMS voltage rating, 58 ohm characteristic impedance, 39 pF/ft mutual capacitance, and 0.18 µH/ft inductance. The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with a maximum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter and a maximum pull tension of 83 lbs, making it suitable for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and data communication where shielding and reliable signal integrity are required.
