DESCRIPTION

The 2840/7-OR005 is a single-conductor hookup wire featuring 32 AWG (7/40) stranded silver-plated copper conductor with PTFE insulation, designed for high-temperature and high-voltage applications. The wire has a nominal insulation wall thickness of 0.0065 inches with an overall diameter of 0.022 ± 0.002 inches, and is rated for continuous operation from -60°C to +200°C at 250V RMS. It exhibits a conductor DC resistance of 157 O/1000 ft at 20°C and an inductance of 0.07 µH/ft, with a maximum pull tension of 0.53 lbs and a minimum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter. This wire is compliant with MIL-W-16878/6 (Type ET) and NEMA HP3-ETXBAB specifications, and is RoHS 2 and REACH compliant, making it suitable for aerospace, military, instrumentation, and high-reliability electronic applications where temperature stability and electrical performance are critical.
