DESCRIPTION

The 6456-BK005 is a three-pair shielded twisted-pair cable designed for industrial communication and signal transmission applications. It features 22 AWG tinned copper conductors with foam HDPE insulation (0.0225" wall nominal), organized into three pairs with 4.8 twists per foot minimum, and cabled together at 3.2 twists per foot minimum. The cable incorporates an aluminum/mylar tape shield with 25% overlap and tinned copper braid at 65% coverage minimum, plus a 22 AWG tinned copper drain wire, all enclosed in a 0.053" nominal PVC jacket rated for 300 V RMS. With a characteristic impedance of 120 O ±12, conductor DC resistance of 15.3 O/1000ft at 20°C, and operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, this cable is ideal for RS485 industrial networks, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems requiring reliable shielded signal transmission.
