DESCRIPTION

The 86204CY-SL005 is a four-conductor shielded continuous flex data cable designed for demanding applications requiring reliable signal transmission and mechanical durability. It features 24 AWG (10/34) tinned copper conductors with 0.010" PVC insulation, assembled with 9.6 twists per foot minimum and wrapped with nonwoven polyester tape. The cable incorporates a flexible aluminum/mylar shield with 90% tinned copper coverage and a 26 AWG tinned copper drain wire, providing excellent EMI protection. The outer jacket is 0.040" nominal PVC in slate color with a tissue tape separator. Electrically, the cable is rated for 300 V RMS with a capacitance of 32 pF/ft (conductor-to-conductor) and 58 pF/ft ground capacitance at 1 kHz. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -10°C to 105°C (static) and +5°C to 105°C (dynamic), with an 8X cable diameter bend radius for both static and dynamic applications. This cable is ideal for continuous flex data transmission in industrial control systems, instrumentation, and automated equipment where space constraints and environmental durability are critical.
