DESCRIPTION

The 86605CY-SL005 is a 5-pair shielded twisted-pair data cable designed for continuous flex applications and high-reliability signal transmission. It features 24 AWG tinned copper conductors with 0.010" PVC insulation, organized into 5 twisted pairs with a minimum of 9.6 twists per foot, and wrapped with nonwoven polyester tape. The cable incorporates a flexible aluminum/mylar shield with 25% overlap and tinned copper braid at 85% coverage minimum, along with a 26 AWG tinned copper drain wire for grounding. The outer jacket is 0.040" nominal PVC in slate color with a 0.314" ±0.016" overall diameter, providing robust environmental protection. This cable is rated for 300V RMS at 105°C, complies with UL AWM styles 2661 and 21894, CSA FT4, and is RoHS-compliant, making it suitable for industrial control systems, data acquisition, and continuous-flex applications requiring reliable signal integrity and durability.
