DESCRIPTION

M8528010-BK199 is a single-pair shielded twisted-pair control cable designed for industrial and instrumentation applications. The cable features 18 AWG (7/0152) bare copper conductors with PVC insulation (0.016" wall nominal) and a nylon inner layer (0.005" wall), twisted at 4.8 twists per foot minimum and wrapped with clear Mylar tape. The shield consists of aluminum/Mylar tape with 25% overlap and a 20 AWG tinned copper drain wire, while the outer jacket is 0.048" nominal PVC wall in black with a nylon ripcord for easy opening. Rated for 600V RMS at 90°C in dry conditions and 75°C in wet conditions, the cable offers a characteristic impedance of 50O, mutual capacitance of 44 pF/ft, and conductor DC resistance of 6.6 O/1000ft at 20°C. The cable is UL-certified as Type TC, sun-resistant, and suitable for direct burial, making it ideal for outdoor control circuits, data transmission, and harsh environment installations where reliability and environmental protection are essential.
