DESCRIPTION

The AZ2280-1C-277AF is a 40 amp miniature power relay featuring a single Form C (changeover) contact arrangement designed for AC and DC applications. This relay is rated for a maximum switched voltage of 277VAC and 28VDC, with a maximum switched current of 20A for Form C contacts and maximum switched power of 840W or 11,080VA. The relay operates with a nominal coil voltage of 277VAC, a must-operate voltage of 235.4VAC, and a maximum continuous voltage of 318.5VAC, with a nominal coil power of 2.2VA and coil resistance of 15,000 ohms. It features quick-connect leads for both contacts and coil, operates at temperatures from -55°C to 60°C, and meets UL Class F (155°C) insulation standards with UL and CUR file E44211 certification. The relay provides mechanical life expectancy of 1×107 operations and electrical life of 1×105 operations at 28A and 277VAC, making it suitable for industrial control, lighting circuits, HVAC systems, and general-purpose switching applications requiring reliable miniature relay performance.
