DESCRIPTION

The AZ979-1A-12DRC1E is an 80 Amp Mini-ISO automotive relay designed for high-current switching applications in automotive systems. This relay features a 12 VDC nominal coil voltage with a must-operate voltage of 7.8 VDC and maximum continuous voltage of 19.0 VDC, combined with a coil resistance of 90 ohms (±10%). The contact arrangement is SPST Form A (normally open) with a maximum switched current of 80 A at 30 VDC maximum, silver tin oxide contacts with less than 50 milliohms initial resistance, and a high momentary carry current of 500 A. The relay includes a diode across the coil (suffix D), steel mounting bracket (suffix C), and epoxy sealed version (suffix E) for enhanced durability and environmental protection. With mechanical life expectancy of 1×107 operations and electrical life of 1×105 operations at 80 A 14 VDC, this relay is ideal for automotive applications requiring reliable high-current switching, including engine control modules, power distribution systems, and load management circuits.
