DESCRIPTION

The 8638PPC4005LF is a crimp-style electrical contact designed for D-sub connector applications. It is rated for a maximum current of 4.0 A and accommodates wire gauges 8–10 AWG with a cross-sectional area of 5–8 mm². The contact features a CuZn40 phosphorus (P) active zone with plating specifications including copper flash, nickel-phosphorus (2 µm, 0/+2 µm tolerance), and gold (0.2 µm minimum, equivalent to 0.8 µm Au), meeting 200 mating/unmating cycles. The contact has a blue clip for color identification and dimensional specifications of 4.70 mm (FA) and 5.50 mm (FB). This contact is ideal for industrial and commercial D-sub connector assemblies requiring reliable crimped connections with RoHS compliance and lead-free termination plating.
