DESCRIPTION

CTL-8 is a ratcheting hand tool designed for precision crimping and forming applications with interchangeable die sets. The tool features a 1/4" sheet metal construction and operates with a ratchet adjuster wheel positioned in the center indent for consistent operation. The CTL-8 is supplied with die set 47-20028 and has a total length of 42.001 mm (1.655 inches), accommodating multiple opening sizes for hexagonal and other shaped crimping operations. The tool requires 25-35 lbs of hand force to close fully until the ratchet releases, ensuring dies are properly butted against both front and rear surfaces. This ratcheting mechanism provides reliable, repeatable crimping performance for RF connector assembly, wire termination, and similar precision forming tasks in telecommunications and electronic manufacturing.
