DESCRIPTION

The 8510B is a programmable DC electronic load designed for testing and evaluating DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, batteries, battery chargers, and photovoltaic arrays. It features a maximum input power of 600 W with a rated voltage of 0 to 120 V and rated current of 0 to 120 A, supporting constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant resistance (CR), and constant power (CW) operating modes. The unit incorporates a 16-bit voltage and current measurement system providing up to 0.1 mV / 0.1 mA resolution, transient mode capability up to 10 kHz in CC mode, and adjustable slew rates from 0.01 to 0.8 A/µs in high range. Additional features include list mode for custom step sequences, battery test function with configurable cut-off voltage and capacity levels, internal memory for 100 user-configurable settings, and comprehensive protection functions (OVP/OCP/OPP/OTP). The compact 2U half-rack form factor with dual thermostatically controlled fans makes it suitable for both laboratory and production line applications.
