DESCRIPTION

The 1694A-WHT-1000 is a low-loss serial digital coaxial cable designed for professional video transmission applications including SMPTE 424M 3 Gb/s HD-SDI 1080p and SMPTE 2008-1 6 Gb/s UHDTV. It features an 18 AWG solid bare copper conductor with a foam polyethylene (HDPE) core, dual shielding consisting of Duofoil® (100% aluminum/polyester/aluminum tape) and 95% tinned copper braid, and a PVC jacket rated for CMR (Riser) installations. The cable exhibits a characteristic impedance of 75 Ohm, nominal conductor DC resistance of 6.4 Ohm/1000ft, and capacitance of 16.2 pF/ft, with insertion loss ranging from 0.24 dB/100ft at 1 MHz to 17.7 dB/100ft at 6000 MHz. This cable is suitable for both indoor and outdoor (black only) applications, with UL voltage rating of 300 V RMS and compliance with UL1666 Vertical Shaft, CSA FT4, and IEC 60332-1-2 flammability standards, making it ideal for broadcast, production, and professional video infrastructure.
