DESCRIPTION

The 8451-BLK-1000 is a multi-conductor single-pair shielded cable featuring 22 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors (7x30 stranding) with polypropylene insulation and a paper wrap separator, twisted pair configuration, and overall Beldfoil shield providing 100% coverage with a 22 AWG tinned copper drain wire. The cable has a nominal outer diameter of 0.130 inches, operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +75°C, and is rated for a maximum operating voltage of 300 V RM with a maximum recommended current of 2.9 amps per conductor at 25°C. Key electrical characteristics include a characteristic impedance of 45 ohms, a velocity of propagation of 66%, a conductor DC resistance of 14.5 ohms per 1000 feet, and a capacitance of 57 pF/ft. This cable is ideal for control, instrumentation, and low-voltage signal transmission applications where EMI shielding and reliable twisted-pair performance are required.
