DESCRIPTION
The 8770-CHR-500 is a three-conductor shielded electronic control cable designed for low-voltage analog signals, control circuits, and audio applications. It features 18 AWG (16x30) tinned copper conductors with polyethylene insulation (0.018 in nominal wall thickness) and a 100% Beldfoil® aluminum/polyester shield with tinned copper drain wire (20 AWG). The cable is jacketed in PVC with a nominal outer diameter of 0.246 in and wall thickness of 0.033 in, rated for 300V RMS at 60°C. Electrical characteristics include a nominal conductor DC resistance of 6.6 Ohm/1000ft, characteristic impedance of 69 Ohm, and capacitance of 24 pF/ft (conductor-to-conductor) and 48 pF/ft (conductor-to-shield). The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C with a minimum bend radius of 2.5 in and bulk weight of 36 lbs/1000ft. It is suitable for low-voltage analog signals (4-20mA, 0-10V), low-voltage control (24V), fine-level audio, voice communications, and panel wiring applications, complying with UL Style 2093, NEC Article 800, and various EU directives including RoHS II.
