DESCRIPTION
The 5504FE-GRY-U1000 is a Security & Sound cable designed for riser (CMR) installations, featuring 6 conductors of 22 AWG bare copper with 7×30 stranding and polyolefin insulation (0.008 in nominal wall thickness). The cable incorporates a Beldfoil® aluminum/polyester shield with 100% coverage and a 24 AWG tinned copper drain wire, enclosed in a PVC jacket (0.172 in nominal diameter, 0.017 in wall thickness) with ripcord for easy installation. Electrical characteristics include a UL voltage rating of 300 V RMS, maximum recommended current of 2 A per conductor at 25°C, conductor DCR of 16.4 O/1000 ft, and nominal capacitance of 22.5 pF/ft (conductor-to-conductor) and 40.5 pF/ft (conductor-to-shield). The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +75°C with a UL temperature rating of 75°C, meets UL1666 Riser and CSA FT4 flammability standards, and is suitable for indoor security, audio, and communication applications in commercial and residential buildings.
