DESCRIPTION

8522-BRN-1000 is a low-temperature plastic lead wire designed for general-purpose electrical applications requiring reliable insulation and conductivity. The wire features 18 AWG (16×30 stranding) tinned copper conductor with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation, conforming to MIL-W-76C specifications and rated for 1000V RMS at 80°C maximum operating temperature. The insulation has a nominal diameter of 0.08 inches with a wall thickness of 0.017 inches, and the conductor exhibits a nominal DC resistance of 6.35 Ohm/1000 ft with a maximum recommended current rating of 16 amps in free air at 30°C ambient. Operating across a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, this wire is suitable for industrial control circuits, instrumentation, and equipment wiring where cost-effective, durable insulation is required, and it complies with EU RoHS II and other environmental directives.
