DESCRIPTION

FDSD048RK is an indoor/outdoor riser-rated OS2 fiber distribution cable featuring 48 single-mode fibers organized in 4 subunits of 12 fibers each. The cable utilizes tight buffer construction with 8.2/125 µm fiber core diameter and 900 µm buffer diameter, enclosed in a black PVC jacket with a nominal outer diameter of 0.688 in (17.5 mm). It offers excellent optical performance with maximum attenuation of 0.50 dB/km at both 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet distances up to 10,000 m at 1310 nm and 50,000 m at 1550 nm. The cable features waterblocking aramid yarn strength members and waterblocking tape core wrap for moisture protection, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. Suitable for premise backbone applications, this cable is rated OFNR/FT4 for flammability and is designed for indoor/outdoor use including direct burial and sunlight-resistant environments.
