DESCRIPTION

The 3224W-1-500E is a surface-mount 4 mm square multiturn cermet trimming potentiometer designed for industrial applications requiring sealed construction to withstand board wash processing. It features a 500 ohm resistance value with ±10% tolerance, essentially infinite resolution, and a low contact resistance variation of 1% or 3 ohms maximum. The device operates with a 12-turn nominal adjustment angle and supports IR reflow soldering as standard, with top-adjust styling and pick-and-place centering design for automated assembly. With an insulation resistance of 100 megohms minimum at 500 VDC and dielectric strength of 600 VAC, this trimmer is ideal for precision calibration and tuning applications in industrial control systems, instrumentation, and consumer electronics requiring reliable performance in harsh manufacturing environments.
