DESCRIPTION

The 3224W-2-503E is a surface-mount 4 mm square multiturn cermet trimming potentiometer designed for industrial applications with sealed construction to withstand board wash processing. It features a resistance value of 50 kO (resistance code 503), a low contact resistance variation of 1% or 3 ohms maximum, and an adjustment angle of 12 turns nominal, providing essentially infinite resolution for precise tuning. The device operates with a standard resistance tolerance of ±10%, an insulation resistance of 100 megohms minimum at 500 VDC, and a dielectric strength of 600 VAC at sea level. The W-style top-adjust design with pick-and-place centering and flush adjustment capability makes it suitable for automated assembly, while its RoHS compliance and halogen-free construction meet modern environmental standards for use in industrial control systems, instrumentation, and precision calibration applications.
