DESCRIPTION

The 3224X-1-500E is a 4 mm surface-mount trimming potentiometer (Trimpot) designed for industrial applications requiring sealed, halogen-free construction. This multiturn cermet device features a standard resistance range of 10 ohms to 2 megohms with ±10% tolerance, an adjustment angle of 12 turns nominal, and a contact resistance variation of 1% or 3 ohms maximum. The X-style top-adjust configuration includes an adjustment slot 0.6 mm wide by 0.5 mm deep, with a maximum torque rating of 180 g-cm and a pushover strength of 1 lb. The device is sealed to withstand board wash processing, meets EIA/EIAJ/IPC/VECI SMD standards, and features a low coefficient of resistance variation (CRV) of 1%, making it ideal for precision tuning applications in industrial electronics, instrumentation, and equipment requiring reliable performance in harsh environments.
