DESCRIPTION

The 3590S-4-502L is a precision wirewound potentiometer designed for human-machine interface (HMI) applications, featuring a sealed metal bushing configuration with a 5 kO resistance value and solder lug terminals. It delivers exceptional electrical performance with ±5% total resistance tolerance, ±0.25% independent linearity, and a 3600° effective electrical angle with ±10°/-0° tolerance. The potentiometer exhibits low noise at 100 ohms ENR maximum and maintains a resolution of 0.025%, with mechanical specifications including a maximum backlash of 1.0° and shaft runout of 0.13 mm (0.005 in.) T.I.R. The sealed design provides enhanced durability with starting and running torque of 1.41 N-cm (2.0 oz.-in.) maximum, making it suitable for demanding industrial control systems, instrumentation, and precision measurement applications where reliability and accuracy are critical.
