DESCRIPTION

The 78FR18K-TR-RC is a conformal coated RF choke inductor designed for RF filtering and energy storage in DC/DC converters and power supplies. It features an inductance value of 0.18 µH with ±10% tolerance, a quality factor (Q) of 20 at 25 MHz test frequency, and a self-resonant frequency (SRF) of 380 MHz. The component has a DC resistance (DCR) of 0.073 O and supports a maximum DC current (IDC) of 1150 mA, with a dielectric strength rating of 500 VRMS. The inductor is constructed with a ferrite DR core, enamelled copper wire, and Cu/Ni/Sn terminals, all protected by an epoxy resin conformal coating. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +105°C (including a 35°C temperature rise at rated current), making it suitable for demanding RF and power management applications where compact size and high reliability are essential.
