DESCRIPTION
PEL12T-4225S-S1024 is a 12 mm rotary encoder with integrated push momentary switch and triple LED (red/green/blue) illumination designed for compact control applications. The encoder features a 21 mm insulated knurled shaft with 18 teeth, horizontal mount configuration with rear exit PC pins, and outputs 2-bit quadrature code with 24 pulses per 360° rotation. Electrical specifications include a closed circuit resistance of 3 ohms maximum, contact rating of 0.5 mA at 5 VDC, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 300 VAC minimum at sea level. The integrated switch operates as a contact push momentary SPST with 10 mA power rating at 5 V DC, 100 milliohms contact resistance, and 450 ± 200 gf actuation force. Operating temperature range is -10°C to +70°C, with continuous electrical travel and maximum operating speed of 100 RPM. This encoder is ideal for level control, tuning, and timer settings in audio-visual equipment, consumer appliances, musical instruments, and communications equipment.
