DESCRIPTION

SMAJ12CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 12 V, breakdown voltage range of 13.4 to 14.7 V, and a maximum peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width. The device is housed in a compact surface-mount SMA (DO-214AC) package and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. With fast response times and compliance with IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT), and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) standards, the SMAJ12CA is ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from transient voltage events in consumer and industrial applications.
